Arm + Y Veronica Foster (Aka Ronnie, the Bren Gun Girl")
Veronica Foster worked at the age of 19 at the John Englis Company in Toronto manufacturing light machine guns. She is a true Canadian icon for two reasons.

First - she exemplified what women in the work-force could accomplish at home during World War Two. And she was part of a National Film Board documentary which celebrated the contribution of women to the Canadian World War Two effort.
That documentary was such a success that our southern neighbours were inspired to create their own campaign: Rosie the Riveter.
